Masti Ke Geet is a survey of the Marwari Song “Devar Mharo Re” and the diverse forms it takes. This found footage film recreates the song with snippets from different versions of the song, performed by and intended for a wide range of audiences. Drawing inspiration from a performance of the song within my own family, one, where the lyrics change to suit an urban professional devar, the film attempts to examine this pop folk culture through the trajectory of one song
