Drawing from multiple desktop background images found online this series of paintings investigate the desktop as a real and
imaginary space. The images these paintings reference, are part of a verncaular design language around the interface metaphor of the “desktop”. These are
digtally rendered rooms with a desk, shelves and other ‘workplace’ items in them. The metaphor o the desktop is transposed multiple times - the space on top of the desk, the physical computer and the desktop background on the screen.
